They’re back! Original Broadway cast of Hamilton set to reunite at the 2025 Tony Awards

In celebration of the shows 10th anniversary more than two dozen of the original Broadway Hamilton cast will be performing at the 78th Annual Tony awards on June 8th.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the beloved show, will be returning along with Carleigh Bettiol, Andrew Chappelle, Ariana DeBose, Alysha Deslorieux, Daveed Diggs, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, Sydney James Harcourt, Neil Haskell, Sasha Hutchings, Christopher Jackson, Thayne Jasperson, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Stephanie Klemons, Morgan Marcell, Javier Muñoz, Leslie Odom, Jr., Okieriete Onaodowan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Jon Rua, Austin Smith, Phillipa Soo, Seth Stewart, Betsy Struxness, Ephraim Sykes and Voltaire Wade-Greene.

Hamilton was nominated for a record-breaking 16 nominations at the Tony award in 2016 and left with 11 wins, including Best Musical.

Hamilton opened on Broadway 2015, it combines hip-hop, R&B, and traditional musical theatre to tell the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton . It has since played more than 3,440 performances. The show also won the Olivier Award, Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and a special citation from the Kennedy Center Honours.

The announcement does not reveal exactly what they will be performing, but numbers like “My Shot,” “The Room Where It Happens,” “Wait for It,” “You’ll Be Back,” and “Satisfied” are fan favourites and will be highly anticipated.

The Tonys won’t just be the only celebration for Hamilton‘s 10th anniversary. It was recently announced that Odom, Jr. is reprising his role as Aaron Burr in a special 12-week engagement beginning September 9th and running through till November 23rd.

The Tony Awards will return to Radio City Music Hall in New York City next month. Hosted by Tony, Emmy, and GRAMMY Award-winner and three-time Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo.
