Another Disney Classic is hitting the stage! Hercules will be arriving at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane from June 24th 2025.
The story of one of our favourite heroes is the next Disney film to take on the West End after the incredible success of The Lion King, Frozen and Aladdin.
It is set to be a spectacular experience with director Casey Nicholaw, two time Tony award winner, taking charge and Alan Menken and David Zippel adding new musical numbers to the already beloved soundtrack.
The musical will be based on the 1997 Disney film, which is loosely based on Greek Mythology. The original film recieved an Academy award for Best Original Song ( ‘Go the Distance’) and included other familiar favourites like ‘Zero to Hero’ and ‘I Won’t Say I’m in Love’.
Hercules was first performed on stage at the Delecorte Theatre in Central Park and most recently opened in Hamburg, Germany, on March 24th 2024.
The West End Cast includes; Luke Brady as Hercules, Mae Ann Jordan as Meg, Trevor Dion Nicholas as Phil and Stephen Carlile as Hades.
Hercules will be performed at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane which is renowned for hosting phenomenal musicals including the original productions of Oklahoma!, South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon and A Chorus Line. Frozen just finished its three year West End run at the Theatre Royal and Hercules has big shoes to fill!
