The wait is finally over, Love Island is back and hotter than ever!
ITV has confirmed that the 12th season of the hit dating show will make its return on Monday, June 9th at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
With ten years of love, drama, and unforgettable recouplings behind it, this landmark season is set to turn up the heat like never before.
A decade of love and drama
To mark Love Island’s decade on our screens, fans will be treated to a very special one-off episode: Love Island: A Decade of Love, airing Sunday, June 1st.
Legendary cast members will return to reminisce about their time in the villa in this celebratory special, which will revisit some of the most memorable moments and shocking revelations from the previous decade. Yes, there are already rumours circulating about who might appear.
The show promises to be a nostalgic journey down memory lane, full of slow-motion poolside strolls, whirlwind romances, and jaw-dropping drama.
Although the special’s cast has not yet been revealed, ITV has hinted that the news will be released soon.
Season 12: What we know so far
Fan favourite Maya Jama is back to host the new season, bringing her signature wit and style to the villa once more.
She recently released a new trailer for the upcoming season, suggesting that Love Island 2025 will be celebrating its tenth anniversary by going all out. A fresh batch of islanders is ready to jet off to paradise, with viewers eager to find out “what their type on paper is.”
Although ITV has not yet formally announced this year’s competitors, the following names are circulating rumours:

Early rumours suggest that this cast will include a variety of personalities, occupations, and, of course, plenty of opportunities for villa chemistry.

Following the recent release of Love Island: All Stars Season 2, which featured returning cast members from previous seasons for another romantic attempt, this new season follows closely behind.
The countdown is officially underway, and all eyes are on what surprises season 12 has in store, from dramatic dumpings to Casa Amor chaos.
