Following her grammy-winning single ‘Espresso’ hitting the top of the charts, Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up for a new release.
Her new single “Manchild” is set to drop this Thursday, and it might just be the soundtrack of this summer.
In a cryptic teaser clip, the popstar shared a 16-second Instagram video that has since gone viral.
Wearing micro-Daisy Duke denim shorts, a cropped button-down shirt and glittering high heels, she’s seen hitchhiking (or at least attempting to) on the side of a dirt road.
As both a lorry and car drive past, Sabrina lets out a brief giggle, followed by a playful “Oh Boy.”

But this wasn’t the first time this week that the “Oh Boy” catchphrase had made an appearance.
The cheeky message was spotted plastered on a number of billboards that had popped up across major US cities and along interstate 69.
Followed by “Amen”, “Hey Men!” and most recently “Manchild” going up on a billboard in Texas, we now know that the culprit is none other than little Miss Sabrina Carpenter.
This comes after Sabrina posted a photo from the same desert roadside, captioned “This one’s about you!! Manchild is out this Thursday 6/5, 8pm EST.”

In her online store, the track is now available to pre-order on a 7-inch vinyl with a B-side titled “Inside of Your Head When You’ve Just Won an Argument with a Man”.
This sparked many fans to speculate whether this new single is about her ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan. I guess we will have to wait and see.
With the release date just days away, fans are eagerly anticipating what direction the new Jack Antonoff produced single will take.
The teaser has a similar retro vibe to “Slim Pickens” while the desert location has left some wondering whether the song will be more country-inspired.
Regardless, Sabrina’s cheeky persona is front and centre with many fans predicting another, fun and flirty, tongue-in-cheek pop anthem – especially since the song is produced by Jack Antanoff, who is well-known for his work with artists like Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde.
As she did at Coachella last year, Sabrina will likely give this song its live debut for the crowds at Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, and we can’t help but wonder if this will be the next “Espresso”.
I wonder if she can deliver another chart-topping hit?
